General Details
Client: enGene / The Legend Study
Project Type: Clinical Study Website Development
Scope: WordPress development, global study locator integration, staging & deployment
Platform: WordPress (MapSVG integration)
Launch: 2025
Project Overview
The Legend Study website was developed to support an international clinical study focused on bladder cancer treatment research.
The site functions as an informational resource for patients and healthcare professionals, while also providing a global study locator to help potential participants identify active study locations around the world.
Working as part of Someone Creative’s development team, the goal was to translate approved designs into a stable and accessible WordPress implementation capable of supporting both informational content and location-based functionality.
Project Summary
The project involved building a custom WordPress website from design specifications, while also implementing a global study locator system used to manage and display clinical study locations across multiple regions.
A key part of the implementation focused on integrating and configuring the interactive map functionality used throughout the site. This included troubleshooting technical limitations within the third-party mapping system and adapting the administrative interface to support reliable management of study location data.
In addition to development work, staging and production environments were configured to support testing, deployment, and launch preparation.
Because the site serves as both an informational platform and a participant resource, the implementation needed to balance clarity, usability, and maintainability across a large set of location-based content.
Project Role
I worked as part of Someone Creative’s development team, collaborating on the technical implementation of the website based on approved design mockups.
My role included front-end WordPress development, staging and production setup, implementation support for the global study locator system, and troubleshooting related to third-party plugin functionality.
This included adapting parts of the map management interface to improve usability during content setup and ongoing administration of study locations.
I also provided technical guidance during implementation and assisted in resolving issues related to deployment and functionality throughout the build process.
